Whats a WordPress Page
WordPress pages generally contain information that changes rarely.
Pages are most suited for displaying Contact Info or an About page.
I also like to refer to WordPress Pages as static of purpose meaning that the content displayed may change but the purpose of the page remains unchanged.
If you take for instance the Sitemap the content displayed will be dynamically generated so will change as articles are added to WordPressWorld but the pages purpose is static it exists to display the Sitemap.
You can also apply page templates to give each page its own look .If you take the Forum page on WordPressWorld you can see that this takes up the full site width were the Sitemap displays the right hand sidebar.
